Ritesh Sidhwani’s Gully Boy makes it to the top as a Commercial Success!

Ritesh Sidhwani is a producer whose films have a high success rate. Most of his films are critically acclaimed and crunch humongous numbers at the box office. The producer is one of those eminent ones who produce meaningful content that achieves substantial commercial success as well. 

The producer has shifted the paradigm of the Indian film industry towards a more content-driven approach. We take a look at Gully Boy which charted phenomenal numbers of  Rs 19.4 crore on its first day and grossed Rs 245.21 crore worldwide. It had a stirring plot and made the rap scene in India come to life.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was another film produced by Ritesh that gained immense popularity and even developed a cult of a fan following. The film grossed a heart-fluttering amount of Rs 1.53 billion worldwide. The film won numerous accolades and also had a plot with a lot of depth to it which taught us various life lessons and was ultimately a salutation to amigos.

The producer has also left a blazing mark on OTT platforms. His web series Inside Edge was received positively received by critics and the audience and even got nominated for Best Drama series at 46th International Emmy Awards. The series was based on the conflicts that occur behind the matches of cricket.

Another one of Ritesh's OTT conquerors was the web series, Made In Heaven. The show received marvelous reviews with several critics and online reviews praising the series dark take on the Big Fat Indian Weddings. Hindustan Times gave Made In Heaven four stars out of five, terming it the best desi original by Amazon Prime. 

Be it on any platform, Ritesh Sidhwani has made quite a huge name for himself by giving us movies and series which have a meaningful plot and are gigantic commercial successes.
