Riteish-Genelia, Sonakshi Sinha get their first jab of Covid-19 vaccine; urge everyone to get vaccinated; see pictures!

Amid the rising Covid-19 cases, vaccination is the best method to contain the spread of the novel Coronavirus. In its efforts to curb the spread, the government recently sanctioned the vaccination of people between 18-year to 44-year old. 

Now, the power couple Riteish Deshmukh and wife Genelia D’souza got the first jab of the Covid-19 vaccine and registered themselves in the list of vaccinated individuals. While the two shared pictures of them receiving the vaccine, Riteish and Genelia encouraged people to fight the Coronavirus together as they captioned their pictures, “Get Vaccinated!!! Let’s fight this monster together.... #vaccinationdone #vaccination”.

The couple has been advocating about the vaccine and urging people to take it as soon as possible. Apart from that they have also been spreading awareness and requesting people to stay safe and wear the mask by making multiple posts on social media. 

Earlier, the Housefull actor shared a video of him spreading awareness of getting vaccinated against the virus in Marathi. He had also mentioned that he feels it is necessary for all of us to get vaccinated.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Even Sonakshi Sinha took to her Instagram to inform her fans and followers that she has received the first shot of the vaccine. After her vaccination, the Dabangg actress was spotted visiting her friend's residence in Bandra.  

"#Vaccine manjhe #Victory!!!", Sonakshi Sinha wrote in a recent Instagram post.

Bollywood celebrities including Farhan Akhtar, Kartik Aaryan, Ankita Lokhande, Radhika Madan, Pulkit Samrat, Himash Kohli, Divya Khosla Kumar, Mukesh Chabbra, Gurmeet Choudhary and wife Debina and others also took the first vaccine shot.
