We are moving so fast in our day-to-day lives that we hardly get time to take care of our body. This is the reason why our fitness goes for a toss. Actor Rishina Kandhari, who is known for TV shows such as Na Aana Is Des Laado, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji and Na Umra Ki Seema Ho, stress the importance of exercise for self-care, both physical and mental.
“I don’t know who these people are who don’t play sports. Everyone, at least in my family, is into sports. Even my brother, who is so busy with film direction, takes out time with his team to play cricket, and football. Sport is an integral part of a person's life. Even my daughter has won best athlete awards back-to-back, for 4 consecutive years now. So it runs in our family,” she says.
The actor encourages everyone to indulge in at least one sport for a healthy mind and body.
“I think it’s very important for everyone to play a sport. Everyone should not only restrict themselves to the gym, but also play a sport, do yoga, because it really broadens your thought process in a certain way,” she adds.
Spots help us to master the craft of multitasking. “But I do agree that as we grow up people stop playing sports because they have responsibilities then which include running their homes, taking care of their families as well as earning. But, I feel that only sticking to one way to fitness is to start at least one sport--??? Not clear, please listen to the transcript and make changes. If it is not possible all day, it should be done on weekends at least,” she says.
