Rishi Kapoor shares unseen photos with Dev Anand on his 97th birthday!

Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor is one of the actors who has always been honest whether it admitting to something that he strongly disapproves of or appreciating someone’s efforts. Being an avid social media user, his Twitter account is filled with his honest opinions, which never fails to amaze his fans and followers. 

Today on the occasion of legendary actor Dev Anand’s 97th birthday, Rishi took to his official social media handle and not only did he share unseen photos of him with the veteran but he also wrote a heartfelt post. 

Expressing his emotions, the 67-year-old actor wrote, “Salute to the evergreen star Dev Anand sahab on his 97th Birthday. Never a style Icon and a young at heart like him. Just after Bobby’s release(1973) he told me at Stardust magazine’s party “We youngsters should do a film together” Such was his confidence. God Bless you sir! (sic)”

Legendary actor Dev Anand was one of the most noted film actor, writer, director and producer known for his work in Hindi cinema. Born on September 26th 1923 in the Shakargarh tehsil of the Gurdaspur district in Punjab (British India), Anand has delivered many memorable works. His movies like C.I.D, Jewel Thief, Guide, Taxi Driver, Johny Mera Naam, Hare Rama Hare Krishna are some of his notable works from the 60s – 70s. 

Up until now, the filmmaker has produced 35 films, off which 18 were commercially successful at the box office and from the 19 movies that he has directed 10 were hits. He wrote the stories for 13 of his films. Critics say his directorial ventures have always been ahead of their time. Dev Anand's films are well known for their hit songs.

The legendary actor left for his heavenly abode on 3 December 2011 at the age of 88 due to a cardiac arrest.
