Rishi Kapoor shared a throwback picture from the sets of Mughal-e-Azam which is still one of the greatest Bollywood creations that hypnotized the audience with its high cinematic value...


Bollywood is a widely divergent industry that has gradually contoured due great artists who accomplished great success with no technological advancements. The Golden Era of Bollywood has seen some of the greatest artists who blessed the film industry with their craft and excellence. 

Even today, these classic treats are consumed with much love from Bollywood lovers. Similarly, Bollywood actor shared a rare picture from the of the director and cast of epic film Mughal-e-Azam when they hosted legendary Italian filmmaker Roberto Rossellini on the sets.

Sharing the photo through his twitter handle Kapoor wrote: “For the film Mughal-e-Azam aficionados. A rare off the shoot picture with the acclaimed Italian director Roberto Rossellini with Mr. K. Asif and his actors.”

The photo featured ace director K. Asif followed by the film’s star cast - Prithviraj Kapoor, Madhubala and Dilip Kumar--with Rossellini dressed in an all-white suit. We believe the picture was clicked from famous sets of ‘Jab Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’ song.

Roberto Rossellini was known for some of his greatest Italian neorealist films which included - Germany, Year Zero (1948) followed by Francesco, Giullare di Dio (1950). The master artist has offered his best works in the field of visual arts and set a benchmark for future Italian Directors! Rossellini worked for 44 years in the Italian film industry and made neorealist films and he was also the father-in-law of Martin Scorsese.

Many fans thanked Kapoor for sharing such a glorious moment as one of them wrote: “There cannot be another Taj Mahal, there cannot be another Kohinoor and likewise there cannot be another Mughal-e-Azam.”

Mughal-e-Azam is still one of the greatest Bollywood creations that hypnotized the audience with its high cinematic value.
