Bollywood's precious gem Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, Thursday morning. He was battling with cancer for the last two years and finally gave up. He was admitted to Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai after complaints of breathing problem.
Rishi Kapoor's last rites are taking place at the Chandanwadi crematorium in Marine Lines. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Armaan Jain and other close family members have arrived at the funeral to pay their last respects.
Unfortunately, his daughter Riddhima Sahani is stuck in New Delhi due to the lockdown.
Riddhima had reportedly asked the Union Home Ministry last night for permission to fly to Mumbai by a chartered flight. However, she could not wait any longer and decided to travel by road. The Delhi Police has issued movement pass to 5 people, including Riddhima Kapoor.
She will be travelling 1,400 km by road to Mumbai, which roughly takes 18 hours.
As Riddhima is unable to attend her father's funeral, Alia Bhatt video called her so that she is able to see her father Rishi Kapoor for the last time.
It is indeed a heartbreaking moment for the Kapoor family.
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor looks devastated as watches his father Rishi Kapoor leave for heavenly abode.
Our heartfelt condolences to the Kapoor family.
Rest in peace, sir. You will be missed...
