Rishabh Shetty's Kantara to finally be available in Hindi on Netflix; date revealed

Fans have been awaiting the digital release of the blockbuster Kannada film 'Kantara' starring Rishabh Shetty and now he has finally announced the release date.

Kannada film 'Kantara' starring Rishabh Shetty in the lead role had smashed box office records all across the globe. The film was a massive hit amongst the audience and they immensely loved the story of the film and Rishabh Shetty's performance.

One of the year's biggest hits, the Kannada movie Kantara grossed more than Rs 400 crore at international box offices. The movie's dubbed versions in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam have been available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video India since November 24, and now its Hindi version will soon be available as well.

Netflix India will start offering the Kantara Hindi version on December 9 as the streaming giant has included it in its list of upcoming films. More than Rs 75 crore nett was made from the movie's Hindi dub, which is also directed by Rishab Shetty.

Netflix India took to their social media handle where Rishab Shetty was seen answering fans questions and announcing the streaming date of the Hindi dub version of the film. 

In a recent interview, Rishab was questioned about any concerns he might have had about the movie losing its context when it was dubbed into local languages. He quoted to DNA, "The feelings remain the same,"  He further mentioned that the culture and traditions he has depicted in the movie, like Bhoota Kola, are from coastal Karnataka, but he has portrayed them through the overarching theme of the struggle between man and nature. He believes that every region of India is affected by this conflict. And the way people are describing the movie's final 15-20 minutes, or its climax, will remain authentic; additionally, Hindi speakers will now be able to see it in their own language, which will help them understand it even better.
