Rihanna slams president Trump for calling Massacre at El Paso Cowardice and not Terrorism!

Rihanna bashes president Trump for not calling a Mass Shooting at El Paso, Texas Terrorism!

Rihanna and Donald Trump

America’s President Donald Trump is often called out by celebrities for his racist and inhuman tweets as well as statements. The president has yet again managed to turn the crowd against him, when he took to his official social media handle and tweeted about the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas.

He wrote, “Today’s shooting in El Paso, Texas, was not only tragic, it was an act of cowardice. I know that I stand with everyone in this Country to condemn today’s hateful act. There are no reasons or excuses that will ever justify killing innocent people....”

Not only did his followers bash him, but singer Rihanna also spoke out against Trump on Sunday. In the wake of three mass shootings in Gilroy, California, El Paso and Dayton, which left at least 32 innocent, people dead, the singer shared a screenshot of the president’s tweet followed by a long caption on her official Instagram handle.

Sharing her sentiments with her followers, the 31-year-old singer wrote, “Um... Donald, you spelt “terrorism” wrong! Your country had 2 terrorist attacks back to back, hours apart leaving almost 30 innocent people dead. This, just days after yet another terrorist attack in California, where a terrorist was able to LEGALLY purchase an assault rifle (AK-47) in Vegas, then drive hours to a food festival in Cali leaving 6 more people dead including a young infant baby boy!

“Imagine a world where it’s easier to get an AK-47 than a VISA! Imagine a world where they build a wall to keep terrorists IN AMERICA!!! My prayers and deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of all the victims and the communities affected and traumatized, from Texas, California, and Ohio! I’m so sorry for your loss! Nobody deserves to die like this! NOBODY!”

According to the Associated Press, President Trump spent the hours following the weekend attacks at his New Jersey golf course resort. He tweeted about the El Paso shootings and also shared various unrelated tweets and retweets.

The president has been repeatedly criticized for his seeming inability to call violent acts carried out by white nationalists acts of terrorism. John Bash, the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, told a news conference on Sunday he was treating the shooting as a domestic terrorism case.

“And we’re going to do what we do to terrorists in this country ? deliver swift and certain justice,” he tweeted. Even though officials are treating the attacks as domestic terrorism, Trump referred only to them only as acts of ‘cowardice’ and ‘hate’ in tweets and also while addressing media.

This is not the first time the Love The Way You Lie singer has expressed her distaste for the president. Last November, she issued Trump’s White House counsel a cease-and-desist letter asking that her music not be played at his rallies.
