Section 375 actress Richa Chadha lets her work speak for herself, but also makes it a point to express her viewpoint wherever necessary. Known to have a bold opinion, the actress is always up for a righteous debate and does not shy away from putting forth an unapologetic opinion forward.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Richa recalls the horrific experiences she faced throughout her filmy career. She revealed how she came across a disturbing incident of casting couch and also stated how she was offered absurd roles.
Richa spoke about her casting couch experience, "A couple of times I did not get it. I was very young and stupid. Once a man came to me and said 'we should have dinner suggestively' but I was too naive to understand and I said I have already had dinner.' and then he insisted. It has happened to me even after I got established as an actor. If you are an established actor and the person opposite you, who is making advances, who has power in the industry. Given the outcome of MeToo or what is happening today, this is stuff we have to navigate every day.”
The Masaan actress also revealed that she bypassed this difficult phase, but lost movies for the same reason.
Furthermore, Richa recalls the time when she was offered to play Hrithik Roshan's mother in Agneepath. “She had called up the casting director to put him in place and never received any revert from him since”, quoted Pinkvilla.
On the professional front, Richa will be next seen in the upcoming sports drama film titled Panga. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and produced by Fox Star Studios, the film is based on the jovial life of a kabaddi player and stars Kangana Ranaut, Jassi Gill, and Neena Gupta in lead roles.
