Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty’s connection to Mumbai’s drug cartel Exposed; He 'Tried to sell 3x potent buds’: Reports

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation turns murkier with every passing day and new developments are being discovered. With a new drug angle recently uncovered in the on-going case, there have been some major twists. Rhea Chakraborty is reportedly the prime accused in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, and brother Showik Chakraborty is also being interrogated.

Now, the case has yet again exposed new angles and a recent Republic report stated that the NCB has now found some links between Showik and serious drug peddlers.

According to the Republic report, Showik came in contact with drug peddler Abdul Basit Parihar at a football club in Bandra and they became very good friends. He was later introduced to Kaizan Ibraham. The report also unveiled names of several drug peddlers like Sohail - who reportedly provided Showik with 'Buds'.  

The report then suggested that Showik along with Basit, Zaid, Kaizan, Karan and Abbas purchased buds and sold them off with high margins. Republic report also mentioned that the alleged drug peddlers tried to sell the buds at a football club.

Meanwhile, a source was also quoted by the Republic who stated that Showik and others did dealing in 'buds' and not local weed. 

For the uninitiated, Buds have 28% to 35% THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) which makes it very potent and lethal. 

Meanwhile, a recent ANI report stated that Showik left the house with Narcotics Control Bureau officials, to be questioned in a drugs probe after they conducted a search. Another report has suggested that the NCB has also detained Samuel Miranda after a 2-hour raid at his residence. The former manager was detained under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

The case is also being investigated Narcotics Control Bureau post the WhatsApp conversations about drugs were procured. NBC started probing the new angle and earlier they even detained one drug peddler from Andheri.
