Rhea Chakraborty recently shared the screenshots of rape threats she received on social media post boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajuput’s death. She even sought Cyber Crime Cell’s help in the matter.

As the actor exposed the trolls through her Instagram account, she even filed an FIR for the same. Rhea had filed her complaint at the Santacruz police station on Saturday. Post Rhea’s complaint, a Mumbai Mirror report stated the two Instagram users have been booked by the cops.

The report quoted DCP, Zone IX, Abhishek Trimukhe as he informed, "On the actor's complaint, an offence has been registered at Santacruz police station against two account holders for sending obscene and threatening messages."

The two users were booked under IPC's section 507 (criminal intimidation), 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) and section 67 of the IT Act (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form), depending upon the information provided by Rhea Chakraborty.

In a post exposing the threats she received from the users, Rhea wrote, “I was called a gold digger. I kept quiet I was called a murderer. I kept quiet I was slut shamed. I kept quiet But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut ? Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment . I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action . ENOUGH IS ENOUGH".

She should not be given rape or other threats. This is absolutely wrong. Only cowards do that. If she is found guilty, she should be punished by law.
