Reyhna Malhotra Initially Rejected 'Jamai Raja'; Here's Why

Time and again, we certainly come across multiple instances of how some of the now-iconic roles in iconic films or TV shows were initially rejected by the actor playing the character initially. This trivia is always interesting to look forward to considering the immediate thought we have it, what if he/she never did the role?

One of the most popular and loved shows on the tube over the years has been Zee TV's Jamai Raja, and undoubtedly one of the loved-to-be-hated characters has been that of Reyhna Malhotra's in Jamai Raja.

But, little do many know that this character was initially rejected by Malhotra when she was offered the same. Yes! That's right. In a recent live session with Saas Bahu Aur Saazish, Malhotra opened up on the projects she did earlier, the current schedule, and the revelation as to why she rejected Jamai Raja earlier. She said, The casting director saw my picture in one of my project’s poster and that’s how he zeroed in on me for Jamai Raja. However, I initially rejected the offer because I felt it would not give me proper screen space. But later after a week, I thought to give it a try because I was free at that time and that’s how I took it up. Now, when I look back, I’m kind of satisfied with the decision I took and also I’m content with the screen space and my character treatment."

Well, we are certain that the fans are glad that she did the role!
