This year, we saw various new shows on our Television screens that kept the viewers engaged and interested in their story line. These are the various shows which went on-air this year and were loved by the audience as well.

Divya Drishti which airs on Star Plus is an Indian supernatural series starring Sana Sayyad, Nyra Banerjee, Sangita Ghosh, Adhvik Mahajan and Mishkat Varma. The series revolves around two sisters who are separated at a young age and gifted with superpowers.
Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum-
Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum which premiered on 17th June stars Dipika Kakar and Karan V Grover in the lead roles. The series has always been at the top of the TRP charts and is extremely loved by it’s fans.
Lakshmi Narayana- Namah is an Indian mythological series which premiered this year. The series which was initially titled as Namah revolved around the friendship of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. However, it was later renamed as Namah - Lakshmi Narayana depicting the story of Lord Vishnu and his wife Goddess Lakshmi.
Sanjivani 2 brought back memories of Sanjivani starring Surbhi Chandna, Namit Khanna, Mohnish Bahl, and Gurdeep Kohli in the lead roles. It revolves around the life of resident doctors Ishani and Siddhant.
Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka!-
It is an Indian fantasy series which stars Vikram Singh Chauhan, Aditi Sharma and Arhaan Behll in the lead roles.
Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke-
Star plus show Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke which is a spin off of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai revolves around Mishti and Abir, played by Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh respectively.
Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein-
The series which airs on Sony TV is an endearing tale of Yogi and Gunjan, a deaf and mute couple.
Tara from Satara-
The show revolves around two sisters and their love for dancing. It stars Roshni Walia as Tara and Urvashi Pardeshi portraying the role of Radhika, Tara’s elder sister.
Mere Dad Ki Dulhan-
The show stars Shweta Tiwari and Varun Badola in lead roles and revolves around a single father and his beautiful relation with his daughter. The series also showcases how he meets a woman along the way and their relationship.
Bahu Begum which airs on Colors TV is an Indian romantic series revolving around the lives of Azaan Akhtar Mirza, Shayra Sayyed and Noor Qureshi.
Bepanah Pyaar revolves around the love story of Raghbir and Bani. Bani who dies in a car accident is brought back to life to fulfill her promise.
Chhoti Sardarni stars Avinesh Rekhi and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia in the lead role and depicts the selfless and beautiful love story of Meher and Sarabjeet.
Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush-
Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush which airs on Colors is based on the mythological story of the two sons of Lord Rama, Luv and Kush who are unaware of their lineage. The show premiered on 5th August.
Shubh Aarambh which airs on Colors TV stars Mahima Makwana and Akshit Sukhija in the lead roles. It premiered on 2nd December.
Vidya which premiered on 9th September on Colors TV teaches us the importance of education and it stars Meera Deosthale and Namish Taneja in the lead roles.
Gathbandhan revolved around Raghu Jadhav and Dhanak Parekh who are of contrasting personalities and showcased how their relationship evolves with time. It starred Shruti Sharma and Abrar Qazi in lead roles.
Kawach - Mahashivratri-
Kawach Mahashivratri is an Indian supernatural series revolving around the mystery of a Lord Shiva temple in Devlali. It stars Deepika Singh, Namik Paul and Vin Rana in pivotal roles.
Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran-
Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran which premiered on June 2nd is an Indian mythological show with a blend of philosophy. It stars Rajneesh Duggal and Shiny Doshi as Lord Krishna and Radha respectively.
Dil Yeh Ziddi Hai-
The show which airs on Zee TV revolves around a girl, Kajal Vyas who loves acting and is passionate to see herself acting in films. However, she has lost her eyesight suffering from retinitis pigmentosa. The show stars Megha Ray, Rohit Suchanti and Shoaib Ali in leads.
Haiwaan: The Monster-
Haiwaan premiered on 31st August and it stars Param Singh, Ridhima Pandit, Ankit Mohan and Gayathri Iyer in vital roles.
Hamari Bahu Silk-
Zee TV's Hamari Bahu Silk revolved around Pakhi Parekh portrayed by Chahat Pandey who is a street smart girl with a silky voice. The show depicted the various hurdles she faces along the way.
Rajaa Betaa revolves around Vedant who is a well known and successful gynaecologist who still faces various struggles in his life and is not yet been accepted by his family as he’s an orphan kid.
Apna News Aayega-
Apna News Aayega which airs on SAB TV showcases some of the latest news from around the world with touch of humor.
Baalveer Returns is the second season of SAB TV famous show Baalveer starring Dev Joshi in the titular role.
Bhakharwadi which airs on SAB TV revolves around two families, a Gujarati family and a Maharashtrian family who are business rivals.
Tera Kya Hoga Alia-
The series showcases the life of Alia and her over protectiveness towards her husband. It stars Anusha Mishra, Harshad Arora and Priyanka Purohit in vital roles.
My Name Ijj Lakhan-
Ek Bhram...Sarvagun Sampanna-
The series which aired on Star Plus starred Shrenu Parikh and Zain Imam in the lead roles and it premiered on 22nd April.
Apart from the above mentioned series, several Indian Television shows like Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi, Meri Gudiya, Sufiyana Pyaar mera, Pyaar Ke Papad, Ek Thi Rani Ek Tha Raavan, Main Bhi Ardhangini, Gudiya Hamari Sabhi Pe Bhari and Happu Ki Ultan Pultan went on-air this year. Apart from this, reality shows like Nach Baliye 9, Dance plus 5, Ted Talks India Nayi Baat, Indian Idol Season 11 and Dance India Dance: Battle of the Champions was seen on the Television screens this year.
