The Plot

Set in Indore, a city which is a perfect blend of modern infrastructure and typical middle class families, Sara Ali Khan as Saumya Chawla, a coaching institute teacher, and Vicky Kaushal as Kapil Chawla, a gym instructor, is a happy married couple, with little hopes, little dreams and lot of faith in one another. But their life is not perfect by any stretch of imagination, but being in love overshadows everything else.

Saumya, as any other middle class wife, wishes to have own house, and as a couple the duo is hunting for an affordable humble abode. After many failed attempts, they come across the government housing scheme,  which has a special category, affordable housing for divorced women.

And the ball starts rolling, with nothing but purity in their heart to have their dream home, a simple plan is hatched, the duo will fight, create false pretences to get divorce and get the house.

Kapil and Saumya put every effort to make their divorce believable, after getting the divorce, which takes a toll on the both, the duo somehow arrange money for brokers, forms and what not, just to get the house. Unfortunately things don’t go as planned, what started out as a simple exercise, backfires and has some heart-breaking repercussions.

What happens next, pretty much will make you fall in love with Kapil and Saumya and their sweet little universe, where love is so strong that it will endure everything and anything or will they fall apart?
