REJCTX 2: Too Much Thrill and Excitement Spoils The Storyline

REJCTX 2 loses its main focus while portraying how the lives of 7 privileged students turn upside down when they are targeted by an unknown enemy. The first season of the show depicts the lives of privileged students and how their lives revolve around relationships and sex and the second season is no different.

REJCTX 2 starts off on a mysterious note when the member of the band REJCTX is murdered by her own boyfriend. This leads to a series of questions in the minds of viewers, what would have happened? Why did he kill her? etc.

The ZEE5 musical crime thriller is back with the second installment of REJCTX. The thriller drama narrates the story of a popular musical band of Jefferson High School, REJCTX. The band involves 7 students who come together to form a school band. The one quality that made them come together is the quality of being rejected for their entire life. In the second season, the popular musical bunch of students are back and are living their lives happily until one of them, Aarav Sharma(Ahmed Masi Wali) is accused of murdering his ex and counselor of Jefferson High, Anushka Rao. Anushka’s death interferes with the lives of the entire group of REJCTX and there comes the character, Officer Rene (played by Esha Gupta) who is investigating Anushka Rao’s murder. This did not stop here! The second edition of REJCTX has a lot more in store for the viewers.

It has been rightly said, Excess of anything is poison and the proverb stands true for Goldie Behl’s REJCTX 2. The musical thriller drama has everything the viewers can ask for, romance, sex, drama, mystery, and thrill but in putting this all together the show loses its plot. The popular teenage musical thriller series intends to keep the viewers edged to their seats waiting to see what happens next, but this intention of makers gets more and more confusing with every scene. In an attempt to make the thriller drama intriguing and exciting the show loses its storyline and viewers are left puzzled.

The first season managed to keep the viewers glued to the show since they were curious to know more about the characters but the second season proves that the wait was not worthwhile.

Being a musical thriller series REJCTX you can certainly rely on its music. Raanjhana is a beautiful and peppy number and the makers have few more groovy tracks for the audience

The second edition has a visual delight in the form of a new character for the viewers and i.e. Esha Gupta who plays Officer Rene. The gorgeous actress is making her digital debut with the series and is undoubtedly portraying her character exceptionally well. Officer Rene is an Indian cop in a foreign country who is struggling to make her mark in the country and does not step back when asked to take a stand for herself. The smart police lady can be seen in a glamorous avatar topped with the toughness of a cop. Esha certainly deserved more screen space in the show!

Another good performer Sumeet Vyas can be seen nailing the character of Vice-Principal of Jefferson High School. He too has a hidden side in the show but it would have been better to see more of him in the second season.

REJCTX 2 not only lacks plot and story but feels like a byproduct of immature acting as well. What makes it worth a watch is performances of Sumeet Vyas and Esha Gupta and the good music tracks by the band.

Final Verdict: I would not recommend it unless you are a big fan of watching the lives of rich spoilt school goers.
