Raveena Tandon appeared on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s radio show What Women Want, where the two ladies talked about the beauty standards and hypocrisy in the media.
Opening up about the topic, Raveena said that she finds it ‘hypocritical’ that only women are judged for undergoing surgery, whereas the heroes in the industry also use Botox and other treatments.
“There has always been pressure on us actresses for staying young. What I find extremely hypocritical is how viewers and the media only talk about the women getting a surgery very conveniently forgetting that heroes use them too. Have our heroes found the eternal fountain of youth? Is it something that we don’t know about?” Raveena said at the show.
Further, the 45-year-old actress also shared a hilarious memory, tracing back from the days of Andaz Apna Apna. She shared that the once joked that the remake of Andaz Apna Apna might feature Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, but the heroines, Karisma Kapoor and herself might be replaced by younger actresses.
"The first shot of the film will show a picture of me and Lolo (Karisma Kapoor) with an incense stick in front of it with Amar (Aamir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan) mourning our demise. With us no longer in their lives, these two guys will then start their new love stories with 21-year-old actresses” she shared.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Raveena will be next seen in Kannada film KGF: Chapter 2, playing a character rumoured to be modelled on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is scheduled to be released in July 2020.
