Ranveer Singh shares a picture of her mother holding the actual world cup trophy

Ranveer Singh is overjoyed today because his long-awaited and much-discussed film '83 has finally arrived in theatres. While his film has received positive feedback from both audiences and critics, the actor took to Twitter to share a photo of his mother holding a real world cup. 

Ranveer's mother, dressed in a mustard-colored outfit, is seen holding the cup and flashing a million-dollar smile. 'Hum jeet gaye, Mumma!' the actor captioned it. (Note: this is the actual cup!) #ThisIs83 #83TheFilm @83thefilm 

Ranveer Singh plays Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan's sports drama. Tahir Raj Bhasin plays Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem plays Mohinder Amarnath, Harrdy Sandhu plays Madan Lal, Ammy Virk plays Balwinder Sandhu, Sahil Khattar plays Syed Kirmani, Chirag Patil plays Sandeep Patil, Adinath Kothare plays Dilip Vengsarkar, Dinker Sharma plays Kirti Azad, Dhairya Karwa plays Ravi 

Shastri, Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Nishant Dahiya as Roger Binny and R Badree as Sunil Valson.

Deepika Padukone, who plays Kapil Dev's wife Romi Dev in the film, has also co-produced it. '83 was supposed to be released in theatres last year. However, it was postponed due to the pandemic. The film not only follows the journey of the players who defied all odds to win the World Cup, but it also illuminates the behind-the-scenes stories of the cricketers, their families, and others.
