Sushant Singh Rajput's death case which paved way for the drug angle getting discovered is getting intense by the day with various new names from the Hindi film industry coming to light everyday.
Recently, the Narcotics Control Bureau which is probing the drugs angle in SSR's death case, found out various old chats of actress Deepika Padukone asking for drugs to her manager Karishma Prakash. And soon after going thoroughly through the chats, they send her a summon and asked her to be present at the NCB office on September 25, 2020 (Friday).
Now according to the latest report, sources revealed that after Deepika Padukone’s name surfaced in the alleged drug chat with manager Karishma Prakash, Ranveer Singh is standing solidly behind the actress, who also has the support of both her families.
A source told Bollywood Hungama that both the families are firmly behind Deepika in the issue. The report quoted a filmmaker who said, “But I don’t think they are going to let this (the chat on drugs) defeat their morale. I think they will come out in Deepika’s defence very strongly very soon after they consider all their legal options.”
The report also stated that Ranveer Singh and his wife Deepika Padukone would be sending out a joint press statement soon. On the other hand, Republic reported that after Deepika received summons from the NCB, she called her team of lawyers to discuss the further course of action. The actress reportedly had a video call with her lawyers, which was also joined by Ranveer.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone who is summoned by the NCB for questioning is expected to join the probe on September 25. Her manager Karishma Prakash has also been issued summons by the NCB. Apart from that, Times Now reported that the Chhapaak actress is expected to leave for Mumbai from Goa, by a charter plane on Thursday noon.
