Today the makers of Chhapaak released the trailer of the most awaited films. Deepika Padukone has lauded much appreciation from the fans and her fellow Bollywood mates for her phenomenal performance. But guess who has stood in support of the 33-year-old actress!

It's none other than Rangoli Chandel.

Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel has tweeted her support for the newly-released trailer of Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak, which is inspired from the story of real-life acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

Rangoli herself is an acid attack survivor and talking about the same in a post on Tuesday, she said that a story such as that needed to be told and that she was praying for the film’s success.

Her tweet read: “Meghna (Gulzar, the director) and Deepika will earn a lot of tears from this film, what my family and I went through along with the prejudice we faced was worse than death... story of an acid attack survivor need to reach this nation, praying that it works.”

Back in October, she shared her horrifying acid-attack story. Sharing her picture, she wrote, “Lot of people feeling sorry about the fact that I lost my beauty, honestly when your organs melt before your eyes beauty is the last thing you care about, even after 54 surgeries over a span of 5 years doctors couldn’t reconstruct my ear...”

During the actress was quizzed about her reaction after doing the prosthetics for the first time, and if she was scared? To which she shared:

First of all, the word ‘scared’ isn’t the right word to be used. We should not use that vocabulary at all. It’s ironic that I had no idea what would my reaction be when I look at myself in the mirror for the first time. But I remember again this moment, very very clearly, we were in the Fox Studio’s office and we were doing the look test and it took almost 4-5 hours, the first time we did it. I fell asleep, I woke up and finally when this thing was done, I looked at myself in the mirror for the first time, I looked at Meghna and said, ‘I feel like myself’. Nothing has changed.
