India Forums got in touch with Randeep Rai and Aditi Sharma from Zee TV show and asked their thoughts on the special occasion of Farmers’ Day.
Every year 23rd December is observed as the Farmers Day throughout the nation of India. The day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of former fifth prime minister of the nation Choudhary Charan Singh. The first Kisan Diwas (Farmers Day) was celebrated in the year 2001.
India Forums got in touch with Randeep Rai and Aditi Sharma from Zee TV show and asked their thoughts on the special occasion. Randeep Rai who essays the role of Anurag in Zee TV’s Meet mentioned, “Kisan Diwas is celebrated to honour India’s farmers as they play pivotal role in everyone’s day to day life. The day marks the contribution of the former prime minister Chaudhary Charan Singh to the agricultural reforms of India. Farmers are the strong pillars of our country and every morsel of food that we eat is because of all the hard work and labour they go through, so we should always be grateful to them. On this day, I would like to request everyone to be kind to the farmers and appreciate all the efforts they put in for us.”
Aditi Sharma who plays the role of Dua in Zee TV’s Rabb Se Hai Dua mentioned, “I believe that celebrating our country’s farmers is very important. Every citizen of our country is dependent on the crops produced by them for their day to day of living. Educating the young generation about our country’s agriculture is very important so that they know what kind of hard work goes in growing the food that we eat. We should always try to buy our vegetables and ration directly from the farmers so that they get paid for what they deserve. I am very thankful and grateful to all the farmers who work hard to provide us with the basic necessity of life.”
Let's all acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of Farmers of our nation on this special day.
