Ranbir Kapoor proudly flaunts his Ram Mandir inspired vest gifted by his fan; WATCH

Ranbir Kapoor is currently making waves in the industry for the anticipation he has build for his upcoming film Ramayana. Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film, starring Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, among others is coming soon and the teaser will be released in India on April 2, but people in Los Angeles got to see it early. Ranbir who is all set to charm the audience by playing the role of Lord Rama, recently was in LA for Ramayana’s teaser launch.

Ranbir receives a special gift from his fan

During the unveiling, Ranbir Kapoor was presented with a beautiful gift from a devoted fan, who also possesses expertise in the realm of fashion design. In the video going viral on internet, the fan bestowed upon Ranbir a vibrant crimson, custom-tailored bandhgala-style jacket, embellished with elaborate needlework that drew inspiration from the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

The jacket additionally showcased a detailed portrayal of Lord Ram, meticulously embroidered onto its rear section. In a video that is rapidly circulating across social media platforms, the fan is observed engaging in a handshake with Ranbir while presenting him with the attire, articulating that its conception was influenced by the Ayodhya temple and that there existed no more fitting opportunity to bestow it upon him

Ranbir’s reaction post seeing the jacket goes viral

Ranbir, who plays Lord Ram in the movie, seemed really happy. He checked out the jacket closely and then showed it to his team, pointing out the embroidery and design. The jacket had a detailed picture of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir at the bottom, and Lord Ram on the back. The gold thread looked great on the red fabric, making it look fancy and classic.

Preparation Ranbir did to play the role of Lord Rama

Sharing the preparation he did to get into the skin of his character, Ranbir says, "I think, for me the preparation started the day I saw Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana. It is so etched in our consciousness and so deeply rooted in us that we are so proud of the story and Lord Rama's journey. When I had the opportunity to essay him, of course, there is a lot of preparation, not just physical, it's emotional and spiritual. It's about understanding it and being very truthful. I have a lot of love and respect for this part and the story of Ramayana, so when you have that inbuilt, everything falls into place,” he shared.

About Ramayana

In the film, Ranbir Kapoor takes on the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi embodies Goddess Sita. Yash will portray Ravana, and Sunny Deol along with Ravi Dubey will bring Hanuman and Lakshman to life, respectively. Furthermore, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh are set to appear as Mandodari and Surpanakha. The cast also includes Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, and Indira Krishnan.

The first installment of Ramayana is scheduled to premiere in theaters this Diwali, with the subsequent chapter anticipated for release during Diwali in 2027.
