Bhajan maestro Anup Jalota became a household name after he entered the Salman Khan hosted reality show Big Boss. The veteran has an elaborate description of his biopic and has also picked the names of actors he would like to see in his biopic.
Speaking of the casting he would like to see for his character, Anul blurted out with Ranbir Kapoor’s name. Yes, the bhajan maestro wants RK to step into his shoes and depict his life in a Bollywood biopic.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Anup Jalota has been quoted saying, “I think Ranbir Kapoor, one of the finest actors of Bollywood will fit perfectly in my biopic. I have seen his work in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, Sanju, and he has brought Sanjay’s character alive on screen effortlessly and very convincingly.”
Besides, Jalota also stated that his biopic will have four female leads as three of his wives and the fourth one being his alleged ladylove Jasleen Matharu who entered with him as a couple in the reality show.
Anup said, “If my biopic is made then it will have four heroines because I had three weddings and later the chapter with Jasleen Matharu in Bigg Boss. By the way, Jasleen can do her own role and if the director wants, then I can also be a part of my biopic.”
To make it even more interesting, Anup wants Kareena Kapoor Khan and Neena Gupta to play his wives in the biopic. He says: "Well, any actresses can play the role of my wives. It is not important that a popular face is taken. My relationship with my first wife Sonali Seth (now Sonali Rathod) lasted for eight years. I think Kareena Kapoor Khan can be cast for her role. Then, I lived with my third wife Medha Gujral for 20 years before she passed away due to a cardiac arrest in 2014. She was 40 when I met her and whenever I think about an actress portraying Medha, Neena Gupta's face comes in my mind. Medha's face was very similar to Neena's and hence, she fits the role perfectly.”
He also adds that he would like Satish Kaushik or Shekhar Kapur to direct his biopic.
