Lovebirds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor melt our hearts every time they make an appearance together. After making their relationship official at several award shows and public gatherings, several reports of their wedding started doing the rounds.

The grapevines were abuzz with rumours that the duo was all set to tie the knot in December this year, after the release of their film Brahmastra. But well, the lockdown had different plans all thanks to COVID-19. And thus, both the film and the wedding had to be postponed.

In a recent interview, Ranbir opened up about his wedding with Alia and revealed that they had been married if the pandemic had not hit their lives. “I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life,” he told Rajeev Masand.

The couple even made the most of their isolation time by spending some quality time together during the lockdown. RK lauded his ladylove and said that he feels like a bit of an underachiever compared to his girlfriend.

When asked  if he took any online classes during the lockdown, he said “My girlfriend Alia is a bit of an overachiever, and she probably took every class there is -- from guitar to screenwriting. I always feel like an underachiever next to her. But no, I didn’t take any classes. Initially we were dealing with the family crisis, and then I got into reading, spent time with my family, and I watch two-three films every day.”

But well, this confirms that not right now but we will soon see the adorable couple tying the knot.

Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia will be seen together for the first time in Ayan Mukerjee’s Brahmastra. The much delayed trilogy also stars Amitabh Bachchan, and South superstar Nagarjuna, and features Mouni Roy and Saurav Gurjar as antagonists. It also has Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo role.
