The wedding that has been anticipated by all may occur much sooner than anticipated. According to ETimes, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are expected to marry in the second week of April. Alia's maternal grandfather N Razdan is in poor health and expressed his wish to see Alia marry Ranbir, as has been reported. It stated that Mr Razdan, too, has developed an attachment to Ranbir and loves him.

Additionally, the report stated that no firm date has been established. However, Ranbir and Alia are currently planning their wedding for April 17th. This date, however, may be pushed back a day or two depending on the health of Alia's grandfather N Razdan.

Shaadi Squad and mehendi expert Veena Nagda, who were rumoured to be hired for Alia and Ranbir's wedding, have confirmed that they have not been approached by the actors for an April function. According to the report, the wedding will be a small and private family affair. It also added that the wedding will take place in one day or, at the most, over two days, with only immediate family members in attendance.

For the time being, Ranbir and Alia are finalising the logistics of the function's location at RK Studio in Chembur. There have been no confirmations because the couple is contacting close family members to determine their availability and attempting to coordinate a day when all of the close relatives can meet.

Finally, the report stated, the function does not have to be extravagant because Ranbir and Alia are as good as married. It will be a small gathering and celebration in order to honour Alia's grandfather.
