Rajkumar Santoshi meets Aamir Khan at his birthday party; Andaz Apna Apna 2 on the cards

Aamir Khan commemorated his 57th birthday yesterday, where he arranged a small gathering for his friends and family. Rajkumar Santoshi, the multiple award-winning filmmaker, was also present. He helmed Aamir Khan in the legendary comedy, Andaz Apna Apna in 1994. They keep running into each other, and Rajkumar met Aamir in Delhi a while back, but on his birthday, he sent him a greeting. They didn't talk about work or movies because it was a family gathering, Santoshi expressed.

They did, however, stroll down the memory lane remembering their time on the sets of Andaz Apna Apna. They chuckled about their days on the sets of Andaz Apna Apna, about everything that transpired during the shooting. But they didn't talk about a new project in particular. They'll let us know as soon as something happens, the filmmaker said.

When questioned if a sequel to Andaz Apna Apna is in the works,

“I am writing the script, but I should be satisfied with the final story too. So when the script is ready, we will think about the star cast and everything. Meanwhile, I have other films in the pipeline too,” Santoshi claimed. 

On Aamir Khan and Salman being a part of the new script, the filmmaker said, 

“We haven’t thought about it yet, if the story requires it, then we will see."

Aside from Aamir and Salman, Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor, Tiku Talsania, and Viju Khote were among the cast members of Andaz Apna Apna. On the work front, Aamir Khan is gearing up for his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha.
