Pakkhi Hegde is one of the most well-known names in the Bhojpuri and Indian television industries. Over the years, the actress has carved a niche for herself and achieved massive stardom. She is widely known for her lead stint as Madhumalti Pratap Thakur in the daily soap "Rajjo." The actress not only has a prominent name in the industry but also can grab the audience's attention towards her whenever she appears on the screen. Pakkhi is quite active on social media and enjoys millions of fans on Instagram. Recently she put forth her opinion about people getting work in the industry due to their social media following. She also talked about the social media reach of such people who dance or show skills on social media.

Pakkhi shares her opinion about the fact that people are getting a better amount of work in the industry due to their large social media following. She says, "Followers do matter to get any work. Even brands nowadays take this approach when they actually see an artist's engagement among followers. So in today’s time, the number of followers has an impact on giving a particular role.

She continues, "Where there is demand, there is supply; it’s just that calculation. Because the people who are quite active on social media have created a loyal fan base that wants to see their favourite social media celeb on big screens, that’s the only reason people see the number of followers and accordingly, projects are given. It makes a lot of impact in selecting a particular character as well."

When asked about whether real talent is getting ignored because people are focusing more on the number of followers, sharing her views on this Pakkhi says, "To a certain extent, real talent is ignored sometimes because of the number of followers. But it has its own journey because it depends on the media you get into. Be it television, be it films, be it theatre, they are all tackled differently. But to a greater extent now, the followers are influencing the whole strategy of the selection process."

Speaking about the reason people follow those celebs who are not seen anywhere but make videos on social media, Pakkhi says, "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. So if a person is seen on social media often and is liked by someone they follow, so they try to know more about that celeb, because of which they follow them, and it is one’s own independent choice who they want to follow or about whom they want to know more. It's all about wanting to know more, and I feel that’s perfectly okay."

Meanwhile, Pakkhi Hegde is in talks for a couple of more projects on TV and film, which will be announced shortly. For more updates, stay tuned.
