Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' roars with highest opening of any Kollywood film; Rs.52 crore on Day 1

Rajinikanth's latest cinematic endeavour graced the silver screen with a spectacular debut on Thursday, igniting fervent celebrations among his ardent admirers. 

According to an insightful report published on Sacnilk.com, the movie "Jailer" achieved a remarkable feat by amassing an impressive ₹44.50 crore nett in India across all language versions. The grand total of collections, crossing the ₹50 crore mark, underscores the film's resounding success.

Reports claimed that "Jailer" raked in a substantial ₹52 crore in gross collections on its opening day, a noteworthy achievement by any standard.

The movie's box office triumph was spread across various regions, with Tamil Nadu contributing a significant ₹23 crore, Karnataka adding ₹11 crore, Kerala contributing ₹5 crore, and Andhra Pradesh along with Telangana collectively accounting for a robust ₹10 crore. Additionally, an impressive ₹3 crore was garnered from various other states.

The cinematic masterpiece not only left an indelible mark in Tamil Nadu and Kerala by boasting the most impressive opening of 2023 but also etched its name in history as it secured the highest ever opening for a Tamil film in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The accolades did not stop there, as "Jailer" clinched the title of the highest opening day gross collection for a Tamil film on a national scale for the current year.
