Yes, Rajeev Khandelwal is finally launching himself into Bollywood starting with an offbeat movie. The movie titled “Amir” is a very different story altogether.
Rajeev starts his shooting from 22nd October at Mumbai International Airport. After two days shooting the unit will stay put at Mumbai itself. Around the first week of December, after their shooting stint in Mumbai, they will fly at London for shoot. How is he himself feeling? “For a change, I am kind of at ease with myself, because I know that I have taken the right decision. Not worried at all if the film is going to work or not. I know I am doing the right thing and also the right film. Yes, expectations of people scares me a bit, but then, I say fine I come with my destiny, and as long as I am comfortable with my decision, I stick by my decision. I am not sure if the film is going to work or not, but I am sure that people who watch it will surely feel this is not a bad decision at all.”
So do we take that this is good bye to television for Rajeev? “I am not leaving television. I am just moving ahead in my life. If tomorrow, television offers me something that takes me further ahead after Amir I will do it. I don’t want to go back and do something that I have done already. Hope I never need to, because I would hate to do it. I just would like to see my graph ascending.”
Today being 16th October was also Rajeev's birthday, and he made sure to celebrate it not by partying around, but spending time with his fans. He made sure to get a temporary number to talk to all his fans and the whole day he spent just taking calls from them. He has a special thank you message for some of his special fans today. “Today on my birthday, out of the 700 to 800 calls that I attended, 99% calls were from girls. So this is a special thanks to all the girls who wished me by calling or otherwise too. You all have made my day look so beautiful. I feel now on top of the world, on cloud nine, and I know, any guy would have loved to trade place with me today. From my heart, I would like to thank all the women population.”
Well Rajeev, we all too wish you a Very Happy Birthday and wish you further success in this new venture and career.
