Raj Kundra running porn business since 2-years, say cops; Porn videos, explosive WhatsApp chats recovered

Businessman and Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra hit the headlines after his arrest by the Mumbai Police in a pornography-related case. While the cops continue to investigate the pornography case, several new and shocking details have surfaced a day after his arrest.

Now, according to the recent reports the crime branch raided Kundra’s house and recovered the server. A Times of India report suggests that police have stumbled upon explosive WhatsApp chats and Raj Kundra and his associates discussing an alternative plan after Google Play took down ‘Hotshots,’ the OTT app. 

Furthermore, 70 videos shot by Kundra’s former PA Umesh Kamat with the help of different production houses were also recovered by the crime branch. Police also revealed that Kundra was not revealing much during questioning.

Police have reportedly sent the server for forensic analysis to know if Kundra had used it to upload pornographic material to his UK-based shell company Kinrin.

The report also mentioned that police have also written to various banks seeking details of Kundra’s and his company’s bank accounts for the last two years. The cops said that Kundra has been running the porn business for the last two years, reported Times of India.

For the uninitiated, Kundra was arrested on Monday night, followed by his company’s IT head Ryan Thorpe (43) on Tuesday - he was remanded to police custody till July 23. 

On Monday, police conducted searches of Viaan Industries office at Lotus Grandeur and JL Stream at Veera Desai Road in Andheri, recovering documents like agreements between him and his brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi - proprietor of the UK-based company ‘Kinrin’. 

The cops also found exchanges of emails, WhatsApp chats discussing payment received from the subscription of porn clips uploaded on Kinrin apps and other pornographic material.
