COVID-19 has led to more change of plans than one can imagine and the entertainment industry is no different indeed. In fact, owing to multiple delays of some big projects, the schedules and plans of multiple people attached to the respective projects have gone for a toss leading to forced changes. That seems to have been the case with upcoming film Shabaash Mithu, which is a biopic on Indian cricketing legend, Mithali Raj.

As we know, actor Taapsee Pannu will be playing the titular role and she has been prepping for it constantly over the past year or so. We also know that director Rahul Dholakia was the one who was going to direct the film where he is best known for directing films like Parzania, Lamhaa, and Raees. But due to multiple delays owing to the pandemic, plans have changed now and Dholakia had to back out. That's right. Replacing him as the director as Srijit Mukherji. None other than Dholalkia himself confirmed the same in a statement where he mentioned that owing to the changing schedules, he had to back out but he wishes well for the team of the film and mentioned how the project is very dear to him as well-

With a change in proceedings, we can be certain of many changes in the film happening too.
