A source says, "The show for Mahua Bhojpuri will launch in the second week of September, while the Gujarati show is scheduled for launch in October, i.e. when the channel launches".
Elaborating on the concept, our source informs, "The Bhojpuri show is titled 'Dulhin Wohe Je Nanad Mann Bhave'. The story is about a guy who has five sisters; his life gets messed up when he gets cheated into marrying a dark girl. The Gujarati show which will have the same story has not got its final title yet".
When contacted, Producer Raakesh Paswan confirmed the launch of two shows saying, "Yes, I am making a show each for Mahua Bhojpuri and Gujarati. I have had a good working relation with Vivek Bahl when he was associated with Star. When he offered me this opportunity, I accepted it. The channel liked the subject that I narrated to them. It is an interesting subject that will keep the viewers entertained. The shows even though made for regional space will have the look and feel
of a Hindi show".
Must say, the mainstream Producers are gearing up for some stern competition in the regional belt too...
