R Madhavan reveals Shah Rukh Khan did not charge any fee for his cameo in 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'

Bollywood actor R Madhavan is leaving no stones unturned for promotions of his directorial debut ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, in which the actor plays the lead role as well. Recently, the RHTDM actor revealed that he is overwhelmed as he received a lot of support from Bollywood actors for the film.

As known, Shah Rukh Khan is a part of the film and plays an important cameo. And recently, Maddy revealed to ANI how the actor became a part of the film.

Madhavan said,

"In the Hindi version of 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,' Shah Rukh Khan plays a chat show presenter. When I mentioned Rocketry to Shah Rukh Khan sahab (sir) while working on Zero, he clearly remembered that during one of his birthday parties, he inquired about the film's status and expressed his wish to be a part of it. Khan sahab said. 'Mujhe background mein koi bhi role chalega main is film ka hissa hona chahta hu,' I assumed he was kidding.

He further added,

"Later my wife Sarita requested me to thank Khan sahab for his sweet comments. I sent a message to Khan sahab's manager, asking her to extend my thanks to him, and I immediately received a response from the manager stating, 'Khan sahab dates puch rahe hai shoot ki (Khan sir is inquiring about the shoot dates)'."

R Madhavan also shared at a press conference about the support from the showbiz. He said

"There are a lot of good people in the film industry. But, I am from outside. People have helped me a lot. Just on my request Amit ji (Amitabh Bachchan) or Priyanka Chopra posted a tweet (to support the film). I am grateful for their love and respect towards me."

‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' will hit the screens on July 1 and will be released in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
