Madhavan is attending the festival for a special screening of his upcoming film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. With this film, the actor will also make his directorial debut. The premiere is set for May 19th in Cannes. On July 1, 2022, the film will be released.

India will be honoured as the Country of Honor at the Cannes Film Festival for the first time in 2022, making it a truly memorable year for the country.
