"These films will be there even after I Die": Taapsee Pannu

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu is all set to showcase her Punjabi looks in her upcoming film Manmarziyaan. She plays the role of a young, carefree Sikh girl, named Rumi. In real life, too, Taapsee is equally quirky and fun-loving. She is a girl who always speaks her mind-out and never holds herself back.

This year Tapsee has worked on three films playing diverse characters in all three films. She played the characters like a hockey player in 'Soorma', a lawyer in 'Mulk' and a fun loving Sikh girl in her upcoming movie 'Manmarziyaan'.

Taapsee who made her Bollywood debut in 'Chashme Buddoor' has been on a journey of exploring new characters.

During our media interaction when we asked her about how she managed to play three different characters in all three movies while shooting, she replied saying that, "I wake up in the morning, relax for 5 seconds in the morning thinking about the shooting  which I have to go for and  prepare myself for that particular  role and then I leave my home."

Later we asked, how she chooses her role for a particular movie?

She replied, "Firstly, I listen to the entire script then I think, 'are my 200-250 rupees worth spending on this movie?' and the time which I am spending seeing this movie are worth or I am going to regret spending that much of time as an audience in the theatre watching this kind of a film. I first decide that, after judging that I see the director and the cast of the film will I have fun to spend 50-60 days of my life or its waste.

I even think that will I learn something productive or I will just force myself to go on my set for shooting. 

Lastly,  it might sound weird and awkward to people that I want to have a filmography which I want to show to my kids that these were the films which I was a part of because these are the films which will still be there even after I die."

Tapsee concluded saying "Though my parents have seen me in all possible avatars, my extended family has been pretty excited since the time they've gotten to know that Manmarziyaan is a story based in Amritsar. They are looking forward to seeing the Amritsari swag [showcased] in the film, and to seeing me as a feisty Punjabi kudi."

Manmarziyaan is directed by Anurag Kashyap and she is starring with Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan.
