Kulfi Kumar Bajewala is all set to be aired on Star Plus. At a recent event in Lucknow, we interacted with a part of the cast of the show and found out more about the story based on a Bengali serial.

The show features a new child artist, Aakriti Sharma who fills the lead role of Kulfi. Off-late, Indian TV has seen quite a bit of controversy around children on-screen starting from Amol Gupte and Soojit Sircar's critique on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs to the recent incident involving Papon on The Voice Kids. In the midst of such backlash, Star Plus has picked a show revolving around a child protagonist.

We asked Nirmat Kaur aka Shruti Sharma regarding the treatment of the kids on-set and with reference to Kulfi, she said, "She was highly pampered, luckily we have a sweet child and not one with an attitude. My chemistry with her is so good, it's surprising how much we relate. We've become like a real mother-daughter pair."

The actress claimed that on set everyone is her parent. While we can rest assured that children on TV shows are better treated, one cannot shield them from the evils of popular media as Kulfi along with the rest of the cast celebrated Holi at the event and danced to Balam Pichkari for the cameras.

Stay tuned to this space for more such interesting updates...

John Abraham is honestly a better producer than an actor and if he wants to make 1911 a hit, he should consider not acting in it.
