"I love Gujarati food" - Pooja Kanwal

Telly town celebrities love to cook as much as they love to eat. One such food lover is the talented actress Pooja Kanwal Mahtani who shares with TellyBuzz her love for food.

Are you a foodie?

Yes. I am a big-big foodie.

What is your most preferred cuisine?

I love Gujarati food. I am not a Gujju but I just love Gujarati dishes and my mother always teases me saying that you have got some Gujju past life connection (Laughs)

Your favorite mouth-watering dish?

I love Dal- Dhokli, Thepla and I also love parathas.

Which restaurant do you prefer the most?

I like Punjab Grill the most.

Do you like spending time in the kitchen?

I look after the eating department and not the cooking part of it. (Laughs) But yes, I cook sometimes when I get into the mood of cooking. I make nice Malai Koftas.

What is your most memorable kitchen moment, be it happy or a disastrous one?

The first dish I have ever tired cooking was Dal- Dhokli and I had tried to cook it with my mother's help and it came out very well.

When you have to treat your loved ones, what do you prefer to splurge on?

Like I said earlier I love the food at Punjab Grill so I would take my loved ones there only.

Which is your favorite quick cheap healthy meal?

Grill toasties with paneer or potato stuffing.

If you have to take a celebrity on a dinner date, who would it be and where?

I appreciate a lot of actors but I am not so star struck!
