"I have never had a brush with uncanny" - Karan Mehra

This week we have Karan Mehra with us, who is currently playing the character of Naitik in Rajan Shahi's popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus.

Do you believe in supernatural?

There are good and bad spirits and we all believe in God. I believe that different kinds of energies exist around all of us. Some of us might have experienced some or the other incidents like somebody's troubled soul has comeback for something. I am quite spiritual but I do not believe in these things. I don't feel that one needs to sit in front of God and keep chanting mantras but it's more important to be true to yourself and keep doing your work. He won't like if someone will keep a fast for him along with doing wrong things in life.

Craziest horror story you have ever heard?

I have heard a lot of stories like someone have experienced something on their way back home or boarding school. One of my uncles once narrated me his experience during my childhood days. He was coming back from some place and then he saw a lady in a white Saree and she was asking for a lift by standing in the middle of the road. Her feet were inverted. So, my uncle and his friends just ran away from there.

Have you ever had a brush with uncanny?

I haven't had any such experience in my life yet. You have to be very strong with a strong will power so nothing can come and affect you. Evil spirits only affect the people who are weak. They try to take that person under their control.

When have you been the most scared?

Whenever I watch horror movies, I get scared but still I love to watch such movies again and again. My brother and I used to watch horror movies and get scared but still we used to watch and enjoy.

Favorite horror movie?

The 13 Ghosts, Evil Dead, The Grudge, The Ring, The Conjuring and many more.

Horror dare?

We used to go in the amusement park Appu Ghar, get out of the rides in the haunted houses, walk around and slap the ghosts and come out.
