"For me being in a relationship is as good as being married"

Says pretty actress Shama Sikander who opens up about her relationship with Alex O Neil. The actress also talks about her show Baal Veer and the character of Bhayankar Pari with TellyBuzz.

Shama SikanderShama Sikander who is seen as Bhayankar Pari on SAB TV's Baal Veer is happy with her relationship with Alex O Neil. She shared about her relationship in dept with TellyBuzz.

After a year with Baal Veer how does it feel to portray negative shade? "I am actually happy the way the kids have responded to my Bhayankar Pari's act in the show Baal Veer. Actually I thought they wouldn't like it at all as I was turning out to be negative, but they loved it very much as also Bhayankar Pari has various shades to her character. She has a mission which she has to complete in the show. Its like a fairy tale which kids have also read, so I am fortunate enough to take up this role," says Shama.

"The reason I took up this role was, I had a lot to portray in real. I am a very nice person. My negativeness is never so high that it overpowers my positive attitude and this role was challenging for the viewers as well so I am happy with my decision," she added.

We asked her about love life and Shama says, "I am very very happy with Alex, he is the best thing that has happened to me in my life. He is simply lovable and very humble. The best thing about him is he understands me and gives me space, which was lacking in my earlier relationships. The Indian men really don't give space to women and try to be over possessive, which leads no where."

She further added, "Alex is an amazing human being and loves to appreciate me. He is proud of me and this is what every girl likes about her guy. We all want to be loved, I would say Alex is the best thing that as happened to me in many ways, I feel complete when I see him in the morning just after I open my eyes. I feel warm and complete with his presence."

As we all Alex was married to Shewta Keswani and then they got divorced, we asked Shama about the equation that these three share. "I and Shweta are good friends. I don't know what went wrong between Alex and Shewta. I was not knowing Alex before the time when Shewta and Alex got married. I didn't know Alex at all, it was much later when I came to know about Alex and I started dating Alex later, when it was clear that Shweta and Alex will no longer be together," says Shama.

We quizzed her that will their love go the marriage way and Shama says, "I don't wish to get married as of now. For me being in a relationship is as good as being married. Moreover marriage is just a paper for me, I don't understand that why people take so much of pain and spend money to get married? I would rather donate the money, than spending in my marriage."

She gave a very insightful message for a relationship, "I would say, live the way you want to, because heaven and hell is all here in this one given life!"

We wish Shama and Alex togetherness forever!

I have nothing aganist not marrying if you are in a relationship with someone. Marriage doesn't define that. But the only problem becomes legal rights. As technically that's what marriage was for. A legal contract of togetherness and without that done rights as a partner you don't have.
