Purab Kohli hopes new TV show leaves lasting impression

Purab Kohli will soon be back on the small screen! The actor will next be featuring in "Prisoners of War" (POW) and hopes it leaves a mark as strong as that left by the 1998 hit show "Hip Hip Hurray".

Purab Kohli will soon be back on the small screen! The actor will next be featuring in "Prisoners of War" (POW) and hopes it leaves a mark as strong as that left by the 1998 hit show "Hip Hip Hurray".

Purab has been spending his time prepping for the role as he essays the character of a prisoner who restarts his life once he is out of prison, said a statement.

The show, an official adaptation of Israeli series "Hatufim", will be directed by filmmaker Nikhil Advani.

Excited about the new show, Purab said in a statement: "After a long wait we finally dive into the shooting of POW. I'm looking forward to doing a long-running fictional TV show after so many years... The only one being 'Hip Hip Hurray' in 1998-99.

"I do hope 'POW', like 'Hip Hip Hurray', leaves a lasting impression on people who have and continue to enjoy watching my work. The genre is quite different from 'Hip Hip Hurray', and I'm looking forward to being directed by Nikhil, whose work I enjoyed so much in 'D-Day'.

"Also, there are interesting actors on the show that I'm looking forward to working with. The next few months are going to be very fulfilling. I'm sure of it."

The show also stars Amrita Puri, Sandhya Mirdul and Satyadeep Mishra in pivotal roles. The crew and cast have begun shooting in Mumbai's Kamalistan Studios.

This man should seriously get over it! Why is he part of this industry if he cant be sporting enough. Jeez I dont get the hype about this man. I have watched his movies and he really sucked! He should be grateful that at least he got some publicity due to OSO... Otherwise kids of this generation wouldnt have a clue who the hell Manoj Kumar is.

I didn't even know about him before this whole case:/ I saw him in Guild awards he barely could walk..i think someone else is instigating him..isme kisi aur ka faeda hein..shayad compensation ka laluch..:/

That was one of the funniest scenes in the movie! I didn't even know who manoj kumar was before watching that scene. Manoj kumar should instead thank them that he got more fame after this movie.

Imitation is the best form of flattery! Manoj Kumar shd know that! Hes too full of himself, always was a show off, even during his time as a leading man. SRK also copied Rajnikant in Quick gun Murugan parody (Yenna rascala and mind it)...Rajnikant isnt suing him or Farah!

bmanoj kumar is one of my fav actors and would always be but i totally dislike the way he is making a mountain out of a molehill.. i don't see what is wrong with making fun of something that a particular actor has a tendency to do in all the movies..
aise toh comedians like Raju shrivastav would be dragged to court everyday.. /b
