Narendra Modi fans have dual reasons for celebration. While a film featuring Vivek Oberoi as Narendra Modi is all set to release a week before the general elections, Eros Now is all presenting a web series on the same. The life journey of Narendra Modi will be depicted in this web series and the three stages of the Prime Minister's life will be portrayed by Faisal Khan, Ashish Sharma and Mahesh Thakur. While the trio has been building our eagerness with their looks and BTS pictures, the much awaited trailer is out.

About the Trailer

It starts with young Modi (Faisal Khan) as a chaiwala (tea- vendor) at a railway station. The trailer takes on a journey where a younger Modi (Ashish Sharma) slowly turns a sanyasi and goes on a journey only to be fired into action by the Emergency. It also gives glimpses of Modi stuck in Godhra riots as Chief Minister of Gujarat. It further takes a turn where Modi starts communicating with the common man to help them and a BJP leader urges his party, "If we don't promote Narendra now, the nation will be upset with the BJP." And an older Modi (Mahesh Thakur) rises as the Prime Minister.

What we liked?

The uncanny resemblances of the three actors with the different stages of Narendra Modi make the web series more lively. The dialogues are impactful and the recreation of the moments are intriguing. The bits and pieces joined together from the web-series to make the trailer give a complete idea of the web series that the makers want to show.

What we didn't like?

The trailer somehow forcibly gives an image of Prime Minister Modi placing the nation and the idea of democracy over everything else. Other characters of the series were not well revealed. The cinematography and the acting seem to be the best part but it will give you a feel of another socio-political drama.

Verdict

This series helmed by 102 Not Out fame director Umesh Shukla promises loads of drama. But we wonder if it will reveal something unknown and hardcore truth about Narendra Modi or it will be another image cleaning approach.

Elections are around the corner and the makers seem to be getting the most of it. As a movie on the same starring Vivek Oberoi is going to release on April 5, we wonder if this will have something different to offer.

In overall, the promo will make you eager for the show. Although it is nothing extraordinary.
