The global icon Priyanka Chopra and her husband have been trying their best to help India in the battle against the deadly Coronavirus. As her home “India bleeds,” the power icon and humanitarian had set up a fundraiser with the Give India Foundation to contribute towards the effort of battling Coronavirus.

The couple’s initiative has reached a new milestone as they recently managed to raise $1 million.

Nick-Priyanka took to their social media handles to express gratitude and penned a note for their fans and followers.

“Through some of the darkest days in our history, humanity has once again proven that we are better together. @nickjonas and I are so humbled by your support and by the outpouring of help for India from so many parts of the world. Over 14,000 good Samaritans opened their hearts and helped us raise $1 Million in these trying times. Countless others helped us spread the world to expedite the process. All the money raised is already being deployed across the country in the form of Oxygen Concentrators, Vaccine Support and so much more. We can all continue to help so let’s not stop here. We’re raising the fundraising target to $3 Million and we know that with your help and support, we can achieve this too”, Priyanka Chopra wrote in her latest Instagram post.

While motivating everyone to come together for India, the leading actress previously informed that she and her husband Nick Jonas have already donated and will continue to do more. She also revealed that the fundraiser will directly benefit the healthcare physical infrastructure which includes Covid care centres, isolation centres, oxygen generation plants, medical equipment and vaccine support.
