Priyanka Chopra is in Mumbai to promote her upcoming film, The Sky is Pink and the global icon and former beauty queen is leaving no stone unturned to promote one of her most ambitious project.

During one such interview for the promotions, while talking to Zoom, PeeCee opened and revealed many heart-wrenching things from the time she lost her father, late Dr. Ashok Chopra in the year 2013. She spoke about how she had her world crashing down in front of her eyes and the myriad of emotions she felt. She said that she felt alone, unhappy and was hurting badly when she lost her father and also had negative feelings at various intervals.

It was during her wedding to Nick Jonas that Priyanka was in deep mental pain and was missing her dad's presence the most. Recalling those crucial moments of her life she said, “I still held on to a lot of negative feelings. I was angry, hurt and I felt abandoned. When I was filming I was getting married at that time and I missed my dad so much and missed his presence so much, knowing that my mom would be doing this alone. When this was all my dad would talk about, he would say, ‘suit kab silvaun’. This film gave me closure.”

But, things now seem to have calmed down and Priyanka has got some closure after making her latest film, The Sky is Pink. She further revealed that the film that has been directed by Shonali Bose, has in a way brought closure and helped her in getting over with the negativity that she had within her after her father's demise.

Speaking about the film, the Bajirao Mastani actress shared that it revolves around the family of Aditi and Niren Chaudhary who lose their daughter Aisha Chaudhary is diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in the film.

It was while shooting the film, that Priyanka who essays the role of Aditi Chaudhary understood the elements of death and loss of life. On a concluding note she said, "Death is a natural concept and it would be a lot better if we could celebrate life instead of mourning death."
