It’s been a few weeks since Priyanka Chopra Jonas had made headline and has received an intense criticism from many of her followers, especially of the Pakistani residents. The actress who had attended a Beauty Con in Los Angeles, talked about a lot of stuff related to her career and personal life, but she has faced the most criticism over her answers related to her tweet after the Balakot airstrike.

Priyanka had replied to a Pakistani woman who accused her of ‘encouraging nuclear war in Pakistan’, saying, “War is not something I’m really fond of but I am patriotic, so I’m sorry if I hurt sentiments to people who do love me and have loved me. But I think that all of us have a, sort of, middle ground that we all have to walk. Just like you probably do as well. The way that you came at me right now... girl, don’t yell. We’re all here for love.”

The actress was not only targeted by a Pakistani actress Armeena Khan and her fiance, but even the Pakistan's Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari wrote to UNICEF to remove PeeCee as their Goodwill Ambassador. Many online petitions were filed for her removal from the ambassadorship and soon after they gathered thousands of signatures. Pakistan has intensified criticism on her after India revoked the special status of Kashmir.

Talking about PC, Pakistan’s Human Rights Minister has not only accused her of ‘jingoism and support’ for the Indian armed forces, but he also alleged that desi girl Priyanka has showed "support for war, including a nuclear war." The minister further added, "Unless she is removed immediately, the very idea of a Goodwill Ambassador for Peace becomes a mockery globally."

He said that when UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors "speak in their personal capacity, they retain the right to speak about issues that interest or concern them.”

He further added, "Their personal views or actions do not necessarily reflect those of UNICEF. But, when they speak on behalf of the UNICEF, we expect them to adhere to UNICEF's evidence-based impartial positions.”

Talking about the Goodwill Ambassadors role, he said: "The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors are prominent individuals who have agreed to generously volunteer their time and their public profile to promote children's rights."
