Priyanka Chopra Provides 20,000 Pairs of Footwear to COVID-19 Healthcare Workers in LA and India

In the distressing times of Coronavirus, many celebrities have stepped forward to help the needy amid the lockdown. Bollywood celebrities have been graciously donating to the PM Cares Fund and many including Shah Rukh Khan, Sonu Sood, Rohit Shetty have offered their offices and hotels as quarantine facilities too.

Priyanka Chopra has set an example by donating to various charities and has been supporting not only the healthcare workers but also students, underprivileged families and children affected by the lockdown. The global star is actively spreading awareness about the novel virus and preventive measures.

Priyanka has now come to the rescue of frontline healthcare workers and is providing 20,000 pairs of footwear to the medico workers fighting against COVID-19 in LA and India. She has reportedly helped to provide 10,000 pairs to frontline workers in Los Angeles and sent out an additional 10,000 pairs to healthcare professionals in public/government hospitals across India.

Healthcare professionals around the world are working everyday to ensure our safety and fighting for us on the frontlines. Their courage, commitment and sacrifices are saving innumerable lives in this global pandemic. ?While we cannot even imagine what’s it like to be in their shoes, over the past several weeks, @crocs has donated thousands of pairs to the heroes in these photos to ensure that they are not only comfortable in them, but safer in them too. Because of this, I’m so proud to partner with them to give 10,000 pairs to healthcare workers at @cedarssinai in Los Angeles and 10,000 more to healthcare professionals in public/government hospitals across India.

Recently, Priyanka and Shah Rukh Khan participated in the global concert, One World: Together At Home, which took place on April 18. The concert has successfully raised a huge amount of $127 million for COVID-19 relief.
