Priyanka Chopra procures 422 oxygen cylinders with donations from fundraiser to aid India in Covid-19 relief!

Recently, global star Priyanka Chopra initiated a fundraiser to aid in Covid-19 relief for India, amid the crippling healthcare infrastructure. ‘The Sky is Pink’ actress has now shared development on the funds raised for the needy and revealed that they have managed to increase the donation to $3 million.

Furthermore, she also shared that with the fund collected so far they were able to procure 500 oxygen concentrators, 422 oxygen cylinders and even manpower for 10 vaccination centres, which would help over 6000 people to get vaccinated over the next two months.

Taking to her Instagram stories, along with the update she also thanked the followers for their donation and wrote; “Thank you to every single one of you who have donated and made these actions possible… please know that you have helped save lives. With your support we’ve now accelerated our fundraiser to $3 Million (22cr INR)”.

Priyanka has actively raised her voice for the needy who are suffering with the lack of medical supplies in India. Previously, she even reached out to US President Joe Biden, and other US government officials seeking help for India in its fight against the novel coronavirus.

A lot has conspired since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and India has been struggling to sustain the crippling healthcare infrastructure. The nation’s current coronavirus situation has raised eyebrows across the globe. 

Owing to the nation’s current situation several Hollywood celebs including, Hugh Jackman, Richard Madden, Reese Witherspoon and more have also extended their support to amplify Priyanka’s COVID relief fundraiser for India.

On the Bollywood front, Priyanka was last seen in filmmaker Ramin Bahrani's 'The White Tiger' co-starring Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav. While she is currently shooting for her Hollywood project in London, she is yet to announce her next Bollywood film.
