Priyanka Chopra organises screening of India's entry to the Oscars, 'Chhello Show': Pics

The Gujarati film Chhello Show (The Last Film Show), which was chosen as India's official entry for the Academy Awards 2023, was announced by the Film Federation of India (FFI) in 2022. The movie has been selected for the category of International Feature Film.  Recently, Priyanka Chopra hosted a special screening of the Oscar-nominated movie Chhello Show in the Los Angeles home of her friend Isha Ambani. 

Director Pan Nalin, young artist Bhavin Rabari, producer David Dubinsky, actor Lawrence Bender, and others were present for the screening.

Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram account and shared a couple images from the Chhello Show premiere. The actress is pictured in the first photo smiling alongside Pan Nalin, Bhavin Rabari, and producer Dheer Momaya. Pee Cee captioned it as, “The least I can do is always support the industry that taught me all I know about my job. So proud of the amazing movies that come out of Indian cinema. ‘Chhello Show’ being one of the special ones. Good luck team! Go get ‘em" . She further explained that Chhello Show is a regional language movie that has been selected as India’s Official Entry to the Best International Feature Film category at the 95th Academy Awards.

While concluding the caption, Priyanka Chopra also thanked her BFF Isha Ambani for lending her luxurious LA home for the screening of Chhello Show. “P.P.S. Thank you @_iiishmagish for lending the team your LA home for the screening!” she wrote. 

Priyanka can be seen flashing her best smile in the photo, as they all seem to be having a good time. The following image features Kal Penn, who also attended the screening, together with Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka and Bhavin Rabari are seen posing in the following photo. Bhavin was seen wearing a traditional white-and-red gown, while PeeCee chose for a black one-shoulder outfit. Priyanka Chopra stated in her caption that she should at least help the sector of the economy that has taught her everything she knows about her line of work.

Chhello Show follows the story of a nine-year-old boy who is influenced by the magic and science of light and shadow that lies behind film projection. The movie is available to stream on Netflix.
