The first episode of STAR Plus' upcoming reality show, India's Next Superstars was shot with all the glitz and glamour, where Priyanka Chopra glorified the night with her presence.

While the evening turned out to be an entertaining one, something teared up our desi girl and she left everyone awestruck!

A 21 year old contestant on the show, Karan, performed on a song dedicating the act to the soldiers in the Indian Army.

Priyanka, whose mother and father both belong to an Army background, got emotional after watching his act. Priyanka's father Ashok was a physician in Indian Army, the actress mentioned that his father kept telling her stories when back in the day, he served for the army.

PeeCee shed a tear or two and shared her emotion with the audience, mentioning how she missed her father and the act reminded her of him. She even commended Karan on his effort in the act and was impressed by his techniques.

The actress stated, "I am impressed by Karan because he didn't overact and kept his cool. He definitely has that X factor in him that is required to become a superstar."
