It was once in a lifetime moment for Priyanka Chopra as she became the first Indian ever to announce the nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards with her actor-singer husband Nick Jonas on Monday.
An Australian journalist seemed to be unhappy with the couple hosting the Oscar nominations and questioned their qualification on Twitter. A journalist, Peter Ford, wrote, "No disrespect to these two but I’m not sure their contribution to movies qualifies them to be announcing Oscar nominees.”
Priyanka was not going to stay mum over this and decided to hit back with utmost class. She clapped back as she shared her filmography of more than 60 movies on IMDb. She wrote, "Would love your thoughts on what qualifies someone. Here are my 60+ film credentials for your adept consideration @mrpford."
The journalist later deleted his tweet and made his account private.
In other news, Priyanka Chopra’s film, The White Tiger, where she was associated as an actor and the producer, bagged an Oscar nomination in the Best Adapted Screenplay category.
