Recently, speaking about her close friend Meghan's wedding, Priyanka expressed to People Magazine, "It's not just going to be life-changing for both of them, it's life-changing for the world that needs to see strong women as icons, and I think Meghan has the potential to be that".

On the popular Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Priyanka had revealed how she became friends with Meghan Markel. "We met at Elle's Women for TV dinner 3-4 years ago. Meghan and I got on very well and we were both filming in Canada (Quantico season 1) at the same time. We just met and chatted".
