Priyanka and Shah Rukh pledge their support for a COVID-19 global Relief Concert!

The world has been on a standstill since the coronavirus outbreak and celebrities are doing their best to help the government by contributing to monetary funds. While the nation remains to be on a standstill, government officials have been taking up the right measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. However, several parts of the nation are suffering from a shortage of medical equipment and monetary funds.

It’s evident, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra are trying their best to overcome the crisis and tensions amid the COVID-19 outbreak. The two have confirmed their participation in global concert, One World: Together At Home, which is set to take place on April 18. All proceeds from the concert will go towards providing relief from the coronavirus pandemic.

Shah Rukh Khan took to his twitter handle and confirmed his participation as he Tweeted, “Health care workers on the frontlines of the #COVID19 crisis need our support. That’s why I’m standing in solidarity with @GlblCtzn and @WHO for One World: #TogetherAtHome — a one-night special event on April 18. Find out how and when you can tune in: glblctzn.me/OneWorldTAH.”

Priyanka, who had earlier signaled her support to the concert, also tweeted on Wednesday, “Just 4 more days till I join @glblctzn for One World: #TogetherAtHome. The historic special will include leading global health experts and performances in support of @WHO’s Solidarity Response Fund. Tune in on April 18: http://glblctzn.me/OneWorldTAH.”

Earlier, the official Twitter handle of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) thanked SRK and his wife, Gauri Khan, for offering their “4-storey personal office space to help expand our quarantine capacity equipped with essentials for quarantined children, women and elderly.”

Shah Rukh was also praised by West Bengal CM Mamta Banerji and Aaditya Thackeray after he contributed his support to the PM-Cares Fund and had also donated to both the Maharashtra and West Bengal Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

the IPL-franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) owner had also committed to contributing to the PM-Cares Fund and had also donated to both the Maharashtra and West Bengal Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Apart from that, Priyanka Chopra announced the winners of $100,000 who went out of their way to contribute in their own unique ways during the COVID-19 crisis. She even shared the daunting stories of those four women on live chat with her fans on Instagram. 

Priyanka along with her hubby Nick Jonas helped several organizations with monetary funds to battle the deadly virus. She was even lauded by PM Modi for her for her contribution.
